Can placement preparation be easy?

Today, I was sitting with one of my friends discussing about campus placement. September has just started and companies have already started to visit  for campus recruitment drives. So the pressure on a final year student is at par. I would like you to think about the mindset of final year student. Only few question revolve in his mind for example will he/she be able to get job from campus? If yes then will he/she be able to get job in his/her dream company? Will his dream job will be near his hometown? What we are seeing here a student has already burdened with so much pressure that preparing for placements is very difficult.
Folks according to student, placement preparation is a never easy task. Due to competition in market and a lot of struggles to get a good job, nobody ever thought that this placement preparation could be made easy. This process should be so that everybody should be having fun at learning it. Here I would like to focus on placement preparation for Software related companies.
A student spend his/her precious 4 years in college and after that if he is not able to get a job, then it could be very painful for someone. I want to tell you there are only limited number of concept which student should know to get a job. But then also he struggles a lot. Why?
Because nobody has ever thought of making this a fun, interesting and learn-able. May be our college curricula is lacking in most important thing. Most of students who come to college are from middle class background. So this clearly tell that most of them will require to have jobs in hand after graduation. But in present scenario most of graduates don't have any job offer even after 6+ months of graduation. Majority of students from elite colleges like IIT's, NIT's also remain unplaced.

Clearly this shows we are lacking in something and we have to improve and change our curriculum. Not everybody is here to do research or cannot afford to do research. I came from Metallurgical Engg. background and this field also has very few job openings. Most of my professors told us to get involved in research as there is tremendous amount of research going on. But I was not willing for doing research and there are a lot of students like me who want to get job instead of research.
This clearly shows our present system is not fit for making us employable and need a good amount of revision.
